About me... I earned my Bachelor of Science degree and my Masters at St. Catherine University! I am the proud mother of four children, all St. Mark's graduates! My oldest son is a film major, my next son begins his third year teaching middle school English this fall, and my third son and only daughter are both in high school, grades 12 and 10. CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS 1. Come prepared 2. Be respectful 3. Do your best 4. Have fun! Homework Expectations 7th and 8th grade Language Arts: Expect your child to have nightly reading assignments, weekend writing goals, classroom activities, and occasional long-term assignments, which will all contribute to the overall quarter grade. Students will keep both a Reader's Response Journal and a Writing Workshop lesson's journal. These notebooks/journals were a part of the School Supply List. Most other writing will be stored in folders on laptops. Parents, please ask to read some of your child's work as it accumulates. * Work is to be turned in on time and students must come to class prepared. 6th grade Religion: Expect daily in-class work with one take home assignment each week! Exams will follow completion of each unit. |
